What Is Rock Camp For Girls?
Rock Camp for Girls Montreal is a week long music camp where campers learn to play an instrument, form a band, write an original song, and perform live at the Showcase Concert! RCGM is a space where campers discover and express their talents, and become leaders in creating their own kind of music! The instrument choices are guitar, bass, drums, keyboards or vocals.
In addition to working on music, we offer workshops about self-esteem and leadership development. Topics that have been offered at RCGM include self-defense, ‘zine making, media literacy and critical thinking, do it yourself booking, silk-screening, image and identity.
This is a great chance to meet new friends and musicians in the Montreal community and show off your new skills!
Who Can Apply?
- Any person aged 10-17 who identifies as a girl, gender non-conforming, or non-binary youth
- You do not have to live in Montreal to attend!*
